Technique 1: Use vibrance

#1. Select the circle icon on the bottom right of your screen

Vibrance is used to saturate mid-tones in your photo; it decreases or increases shades of mid-tones where the teeth are yellow.

#3. Reduce the vibrance

Reducing vibrance will also remove the teeth' yellow tint and other mid-tones around the face.

#4. Click on mask

Use a mask to limit the vibrance effect on the teeth, not the whole face. Mask has a white and black option which serve different purposes.

• White is used to revealing the effects; therefore, the impact of the layer will be visible.

• Black is used for hiding; thus, the impact of the layer will not show in parts with black.

• Select the white mask and press Cmd/Ctrl + I to use the mask feature.

#5. Click on the brush on the left of your screen.

• Select the brush, make white the foreground color, and paint over the teeth. It will not affect the gums, which makes this technique better.

• Select the place on the photo you want to change to get the hue.

Step 1: Reduce the hue, increase saturation, and observe what parts have been affected.

Step 2: Since the teeth are our main focus and have not been selected, we will need to make changes. The top bar is the target, and the bottom shows the results. Therefore, narrow the hue bar to the reds, making the red parts cyan since the hue is red.

Step 3:  Move the bar to yellow to target the teeth.

Step 4: Extend the yellow bar to focus on the teeth and feather the photo. Extend the outer slide on the left and right sides to feather the photo and ensure great contact on the gums.

Step 5: Change the hue to zero, raise the lightness and decrease the saturation slightly.

Step 6: You can also adjust the yellow hue to blue slightly.

#3. Paint over the teeth

Click Ctrl+I, then select the brush and make the foreground color white. Once done, paint over the teeth to whiten them.
