This adjustable aluminum step-and-repeat backdrop stand supports fabric photography backdrops and event displays in studios, photo booths, and event spaces. Choose from 8.2x8ft, 10x8ft, and 10x10ft sizes, then adjust the width and height to fit your setup. Its flat base-foot design keeps the setup area clear of tripod legs.
The 6kg load capacity supports most fabric backdrops. For seamless paper rolls or setups over 6kg, choose the 10x8.5ft heavy-duty backdrop stand.

How to Set Up Your Stand:
1. Place both base feet on a level surface. Insert the vertical support poles into the bases and tighten the fasteners until secure.
2. Connect the horizontal crossbar sections. Attach the assembled crossbar to the top of both vertical supports and secure the connections.
3. Adjust the width and height gradually, keeping both sides even. Secure each section before attaching the backdrop.
4. Attach the fabric backdrop and confirm that its total weight does not exceed 6kg. Check that the frame is stable before shooting. For outdoor use, add suitable weights or other stabilization based on the backdrop size and weather conditions.
5. To lower or disassemble the stand, loosen each adjustment point before sliding the sections down. Do not force the poles.

I was leery of trying the telescoping backdrop frame but finally ordered it. As always with Kate Backdrop ordering was easy and shipping was fast- item arrived well packaged. Set up was very easy and only took about 5 minutes. The top cross member could be a bit stronger as when it is extended to the full 10 feet it tends to sag a bit from the weight.
What I really like about this frame is how it can be used close up to the walls in a very narrow 10 studio hallway, where I always lost about 1 foot on each side with the old tripod frames. this Frame is also very portable by just shrinking it down to a smaller size to move from room to room.
Over all it is a very good option in tight spaces but could use the sturdier top beam to be perfect

This stand is fantastic compared to what I use to have. However, I wish the carrying bag design was different because most of the weight is all on one side and you have to get all the pieces in the bag flat if you want to be able to close it properly. But the stand is super easy to put together and quick to set up also

The telescopic display stand is well-made, it’s easy to assemble, and it works great for displaying my backdrop. I also love my Kate backdrop - it also is high-quality, didn’t need ironing when it arrived in its packaging because it’s made of a high-quality, thick fabric that does not crease easily. The backdrop looks great. I just wish Kate made more backdrops that are appropriate for use with podcasting, because I would definitely get another 2 or 3 Kate backdrops if I could find more that fits my needs as a podcaster.
